Traders often prefer to analyze market entry points using a trend line. A trend is a vector of movement of a quote for a certain period of time. These trading strategies are called trend strategies and are based on trend indicators. A buy entry into the market is carried out when the indicator gives a signal of a price increase and vice versa, sell when a signal of a price fall. Using such strategies, you can profit from both the rise and fall of the price. Today we will understand how the simple trend strategy Pocket Option and the vfxAlert mobile app work.

Strategy characteristics:

Type: Trend

Timeframe: Any in the range M1-M5. In our case, M1 is used, but with an increasing period of analysis, the accuracy of the signal increases.

Trading asset: Any currency pairs. The main requirement is a fixed (2-3 points) spread and no hidden fees.

Trading time: All Forex trading sessions.

Recommended expiration: 5-10 min.

Technical indicators:

  • Stochastic − the oscillator will assess the current balance between buyers and sellers: the predictor above level 80 − the end of the uptrend (overbought), below 20 − the end of the downward (oversold).
  • Bollinger Bands (BB). The indicator reports the direction and volatility of the current trend, and the horizontal movement of the lines will show flat − in this case, it is better to stay out of the market, especially if the price moves in a narrow channel. When the range dramatically expands, you can use longer 10-15 minute signals and increase the transaction volume by 10-15%.

Trading signals in Pocket Option broker app:

  • CALL - option. The price is above the Bollinger or breaks out from the bottom up. Stochastic is above the level of 80 or turned up.
  • PUT - option. Opposite conditions: The price is below the Bollinger line or breaks through from top to bottom. Stochastic is below the level of 80 or turned down.

The strategy is a fairly reliable conservative scalping system for stable profits on Pocket Option broker. The parameters of trading instruments can be changed depending on the current volatility.
